Last year I did not have any luck feeding the blues with mealworms. I put them out and just could not get them to notice them, so they would eventually get fried up (yes, I know gross) in the sun. This year I had them trained or rather they had me trained. I used a simple old cooking sheet and spread them out there, it seemed like for the blues it was easy for them to notice when fresh ‘mealies’ were put out there. As they were feeding babies this little set up started costing me some bones and I had serious thoughts about growing my own mealies…must to the dismay of children and spouse.
